What is Rough Trade Club?

Rough Trade Club is a subscription service that gives you exclusive access to limited edition vinyl, merchandise, discounts, and special events. Choose from two membership tiers - Entry or Discovery - each with their own unique benefits.

Who can join?

  • Must be a resident of Germany or Austria

  • You can only have one active membership per person

  • Must provide accurate registration information

How do I sign up?

Visit roughtrade.com and select your preferred membership tier and billing frequency. You'll need to provide accurate registration information and a valid payment method.

Entry Membership (€7.50/month)

Discovery Membership - LP (€30/month) / CD (€15/month)

3. Pricing & Billing

How much does membership cost?

  • Entry: €7.50 per month

  • Discovery: €30 per month

All prices include VAT as required by EU law, based on your billing address.

What billing options do I have?

  • Monthly: Billed on sign-up date, then monthly thereafter

  • Entry only: Quarterly, semi-annual, or annual billing available (billed upfront)

When will I be charged?

  • Monthly subscribers: Charged on sign-up, then monthly thereafter

  • Extended periods: Full amount charged upfront on sign-up, auto-renewed on the same cycle

What if my payment fails?

We may retry your payment or suspend your account. We'll contact you if there's a payment issue.


4. Your Consumer Rights & Cancellation

Do I have a cooling-off period?

Yes! Under EU Consumer Rights Directive, you have 14 days from sign-up to withdraw from your subscription without giving a reason, provided you haven't redeemed any digital or physical benefits.

To exercise this right, email us before the 14-day period ends.

How do I cancel after the cooling-off period?

You can cancel anytime by:

  1. Logging into your account at roughtrade.com

Important: Cancel before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the next period.

Are memberships refundable?

After the 14-day cooling-off period, no refunds are issued for periods already billed unless required by law. If you cancel mid-cycle, you'll keep your benefits until the end of that billing period.

What about extended subscriptions?

No partial refunds are provided for quarterly, semi-annual, or annual plans. Benefits continue until the end of your prepaid period.


5. Album of the Month (Discovery Members)

When will my album arrive?

Albums ship in the week prior to official release (typically the first Friday of the month). You'll receive tracking information once it's dispatched.

What if I don't want this month's album?

You can request an exchange for any LP on roughtrade.com up to €25 value (€10 for CD). Contact customer service to arrange exchanges (subject to stock availability). You get one exchange per month - any unused balance cannot be carried over.

What makes these albums special?

6. Shipping & Delivery

Is shipping free?

Yes! All members get free EU domestic shipping on roughtrade.com orders in Germany and Austria.

How long does delivery take?

Orders typically arrive within 2-4 working days within the EU. You'll get tracking details once your order ships.

What if my item doesn't arrive or is damaged?

Contact [email protected] within 7 working days with your order number. We'll investigate and arrange a replacement or refund at no cost.

How do I update my delivery address?

Log into your account at roughtrade.com and update your details. Keep this current to avoid delivery delays!


7. Account & Security

How do I keep my account secure?

  • Use a strong, unique password

  • Don't share your login details

  • Contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

What if someone accesses my account without permission?

Email [email protected] immediately. We'll investigate and secure your account promptly.

Can I share my membership benefits?

No, memberships are for individual use only and benefits cannot be transferred to others.


8. Events & Exclusive Access

What types of events do members get access to?

  • In-store performances and signings

  • Album launch parties

  • Exclusive listening sessions

  • Record fairs and special sales

How do I find out about member events?

We'll email you about upcoming events and exclusive opportunities. Make sure your email preferences are up to date!

What does "early bird access" mean?

You get to buy tickets before they go on sale to the general public, giving you the best chance to secure your spot.
